With close to 20 years in education, I’m now fortunate enough to serve as Principal at the most AMAZING elementary school in the UNIVERSE, Ida Freeman! I began my career teaching middle school general music. The class that everyone hated because they had to take it if they weren’t in either band or choir. I was fortunate enough to cut my teeth in that music room and the skills I learned there still haunt — I mean help me today. The bulk of my classroom experience was accumulated in middle school and high school band rooms, stages, contests, festivals, and gigs. I began my administrative career as an Assistant Principal in a Catholic H.S. in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. I’ll never forget my time there or the AMAZING colleagues I worked with. After moving out to Oklahoma with my family, I now am fortunate to work for the absolute best school system in the state – Edmond Public Schools. Ida Freeman Elementary is my current home – and what a great place it is to work!
